London videographer for brands and business

Rob Pinney, a London videographer, holding a camera on a shoot

I'm a freelance videographer in London with over a decade of experience producing high quality video content for clients like Amazon, American Express, and Mercedes-Benz.

I have extensive experience as a London-based videographer creating content across a range of industries – from corporate videos and interview filming to documentary-style brand films, branded content, promotional videos, and social media campaigns. As a commercial videographer, I cover all aspects of video production in London and I've produced films for clients including Estrella Damm, BT Group, and Brooklyn Brewery.

I work across London and the UK. If you're looking for videography in London, have a question, or would like a quote, please get in touch here.

Videography services in London

I'll work with you from start to finish, taking your project from an idea to a polished and professional film. Not every film needs all four stages below — we’ll tailor this around your project’s requirements.

Ideas and creative

Working out what the film needs to say and who it's for. I can help with concept development, creative references, and a clear sense of the story before anyone picks up a camera.

Planning

Also known as pre-production, this covers anything that happens before the shoot begins.

Pre-production can include:

  • Concept development

  • Location scouting

  • Shoot scheduling

  • Shot listing

Not every film requires extensive pre-production, but almost all films will benefit from good planning and an eye for detail.

Read my guide to pre-production here.

Filming and photography

Also referred to as the production stage, this covers the shoot itself: filming, audio recording, and any photography work required. I offer both photography and videography, regularly providing both services on the same shoot.

Editing

The post-production stage is where the film takes shape. This can include:

  • Video editing

  • Colour grading

  • Sound mixing

  • Subtitles and captions

  • Motion graphics

  • Social cutdowns and versioning

You'll get your finished, edited video ready to publish.

Read my guide to post-production.

FEATURED WORK

Social Media Video

As a social media videographer in London, I produce social media content and campaigns for some of the world's best-known brands.

Rates: How much does it cost to create a video?

I offer half-day and full-day rates for both filming and editing:

Half-day filming (up to four hours) — from £800

Full-day filming (up to eight hours) — from £1,350

Editing — from £400

All rates include the use of professional camera, lighting and sound equipment. If you have a fixed budget, I'm happy to make a practical recommendation for what we could achieve within those costs.

For more information on pricing, read my guide to how much videographers cost.

PORTFOLIO

Mercedes-Benz
Grenfell Athletic FC

Sunday league football club Grenfell Athletic FC was founded by Rupert Taylor in 2017 to bring the Grenfell community together in the wake of the fire. This film marks the beginning of a partnership between Mercedes-Benz Vans and Grenfell Athletic Football Club. The film was also featured on Sky News, Metro and the Daily Mirror.

Hiring a videographer:
How it works

When hiring a videographer for business or commercial work, most projects start with a short call or email exchange about what you need. I'll then provide a fixed quote for the project for you to consider. On the filming day I’ll bring all the camera, lighting and sound equipment with me. For larger projects, I can bring in additional crew, equipment and services.

Frequently asked questions

What areas of London do you cover?

I'm based in Deptford in southeast London and film across all London boroughs, from the City and Canary Wharf to Shoreditch, Soho and beyond. I also frequently take on projects across the UK and internationally.

Will you provide your own equipment?

Yes, I own a wide range of professional video equipment and I'll bring everything I need to make your film with me.

Can I hire you for filming only?

Yes. I often cover shoots, delivering raw footage for clients or production companies handling their own edit. If you just need a camera operator or DoP for a day rather than a full production, that's straightforward to arrange.

Do you work with agencies and production companies?

Yes, regularly. A good share of my work comes through creative and marketing agencies, either as a freelance videographer on their productions or handling a project end to end for their client.

Do you offer photography as well as video?

Yes. I shoot stills alongside video on many projects, which is usually more cost-effective than booking two separate crews for the same day. I also take on standalone photography work.

What is the difference between a videographer and video production company?

The main difference is in the scope of work and approach. A videographer typically follows a strict brief and captures something as it happens in front of them, whereas video production companies are more focussed on planning a film to achieve maximum impact and effect. Read my full guide to the differences between videographers and video production companies.

Do you offer half days?

Yes. I offer a half-day rate which covers up to four hours on-site. This rate is offered for projects filming within London only.

Are you available to travel?

Yes. I’m available to travel to shoot locations as required and frequently work across the UK and internationally.
