Background
Before starting the studio, I spent a decade as a photojournalist. I covered major news stories for Getty Images, The Times and The Sunday Times – from Downing Street and the death of Queen Elizabeth II to the pandemic and migration on the beaches of northern France. My photographs continue to appear regularly in newspapers and magazines around the world.
That experience taught me the things the studio is built on: how to make real people feel comfortable around the camera, how to walk into an unfamiliar space and get it right when there’s no second take, and how to make an image that people feel as well as see.
