Using AI to understand and address homelessness in London

How Faculty used AI to help LOTI and Mayor of London build a more complete picture of homelessness journeys in London

Getting an accurate picture of rough sleeping in London is difficult. People experiencing homelessness come into contact with many different agencies and organisations, and the data that results from those contacts is often incomplete and is held in lots of different places.

Working together with the London Office for Technology and Innovation and Mayor of London, Faculty helped to build a strategic insights tool to bring this otherwise disparate data together and present a much more joined-up view of how people experience homelessness across London’s boroughs.

The project was selected to be showcased at the 2025 AI Action Summit in Paris. We worked with Faculty to make this short two-minute film to help explain what the tool does – and why it matters.
