Mercedes-Benz Vans research found that 71% of van drivers have felt judged or underestimated and two thirds believed people think van drivers aren’t educated. But this representation is far from the truth.

To dispel these stereotypes, Mercedes-Benz Vans partnered with poet and spoken word artist George the Poet to publish Poetry in Motion – an anthology of poems from van drivers about life on the road. In this film, George the Poet goes to meet Dave Haworth, an electrician from Southampton, and one of the van driver poets whose poem ‘Here Lies’ features in the book.
