Affected Others

For every person that gambles, up to six others are affected.

Affected Others is a short awareness film produced by our London video production company for GambleAware, the UK's leading charity tackling gambling-related harm. The film follows the personal testimonies of Anna, John, and Sharon — three people whose lives have been shaped by someone else's gambling.

The brief called for a film that could cut through to audiences in need of support, but who may not recognise themselves as affected by somebody else’s gambling.

Instead of dramatising the subject, we focused on real voices in real spaces, creating a quiet, intimate visual language to match the emotional weight of each story. The result is an observational documentary-style film designed to foster recognition and encourage affected individuals to seek help.
