Young’s
Brand content library

Young's is one of London's oldest breweries. Founded in 1831, you’ll find their two flagship beers – London Original and London Special – in pubs right across the capital. We’ve now worked with Young’s to grow their content library across a range of projects about London — the city itself, its people, and its most well-known beer.

The brief

Young’s wanted to create a campaign that celebrated London’s pubs. We put together a content shoot that answered that challenge, delivering a range of lifestyle photography and video clips that could be used across their channels.

The brief was clear: the work needed to have an observational, editorial feel showing real pub moments. Friends mid-conversation, a solo pint and a newspaper, a dog waiting patiently by a table. This was not about technical perfection; it needed to feel lived-in, and capture the feeling of enjoying a pint of Young’s in one of London’s historic pubs.

Our approach

We needed to capture the atmosphere and character of London’s pubs, as though you were watching from a nearby table. So we treated the day as a series of postcards — fixed, observational shots, each showing a small scene of British pub life.

We shot the whole day with a single lens – a 1970s Mamiya Sekor-C, renowned for their distinct look and filmic feel. That constraint helped us to deliver a suite of consistently characterful assets, filmed in 2:3 so that we could deliver in formats that work across the web.
